Toilet brushes are usually availble to match other batthroom accessories, being finished in the same style as other items in a range. The main area where a style can be identified is the shape of the bracket and fixing which fixes the brush to the wall.
The example pictured here is from the Carlton collection by Valsan, and it can be seen how the wall fixing is styled to match the other elements of the range.
Most of the brushes are now nylon bristles, and the brush heads can often be unscrewed from the handle and replaced if necessary. The brush holders are generally made of glass in the better quality pieces, but in the lower priced ranges will most likely be plastic. |

Free standing toilet brush sets are also available, and these tend not to be styled to match a particular accessory range, although there are exceptions to this. Illustrated here is a simple chrome finishbrush and holder. Note that on this style the brush holder is fitted with a lid. Other free standing brushes are available with ceramic holders and you can sometimes find a novelty style, shaped like a frog or a fish. |
